Shoprocket won't embed into Wix. Here's what will.
Wix sandboxes every third-party embed in an iframe, and December 2025 security changes blocked cookies and local storage even in their Custom Elements. Payment flows, checkouts, and analytics all break in that environment. This page is a straight answer about what to do instead.
Wix is a great site builder. It is not built for third-party commerce.
The reasons Shoprocket (and most real ecommerce platforms) do not plug cleanly into a Wix site. No spin, this is just how Wix works.
Every HTML embed runs in a sandboxed iframe.
Wix's HTML element wraps your code in an iframe with no access to the parent page. Stripe 3DS challenges, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and checkout redirects all need to run in the top-level page. Inside a Wix iframe, they fail silently or break the flow.
December 2025 security changes made it worse.
Wix removed the allow-same-origin attribute from embed iframes and tightened their Custom Element sandbox. Cookies, localStorage, and sessionStorage are now blocked in the editor and partially restricted on live sites. Third-party checkouts that worked last year may have quietly stopped working.
Custom Elements are paid-plan only.
The one semi-viable embed path (Custom Elements) requires a Wix Premium plan, a connected custom domain, and ads removed. If you are on a free or entry Wix plan, that path is closed. And even on Premium, the element still iframes in the editor.
Three real paths forward.
Depending on what you actually need from your site, one of these is the right call.
1. Run Shoprocket on its own domain.
